From the 04.10. to the 06.10.2024 I had the opportunity to participate in the NOVA Experience 2024 on the beautiful island of Ibiza (Spain 🇪🇸). During these three days 37 participants went on a very inspirational and personal journey to their core values and future visions.
The participants represented a wide range of disciplines, but came together thematically within the framework of this event (AI and Future of Work) based on their personal or professional interests. As the youngest participant at the age of 22 and the only student attending, I was able to take a lot away from this event. For me, the NOVA Experience was a bridge between academia and industry, through which I was able to gain an overview of a wide range of industries in a very short timespan and build up a very diverse network of contacts.
In the form of a panel discussion, Sergio Alvarez-Teleña, Ph.D., Jomayra Herrera and Kian Katanforoosh were able to give us deeper insights into the current use of AI as well as an outlook for the future. I would especially like to thank Sergio Alvarez-Teleña, Ph.D. for his openness in presenting his career, which motivated me deeply in my personal development.
In contrast to previous conferences, the NOVA Experience tried to specifically create an atmosphere in which we participants were able to focus entirely on the moment. For this reason, the upcoming program items and the exact schedule were unknown to us participants during the entire event, which on the one hand helped to let go of the daily routine and on the other hand embodied one of the key messages of the event “trust the process”. For this reason, I will not publish details of the program schedule (such that future NOVAs can experience the same surprises as I did).
Finally, I would like to thank the co-founders Ramón Rodrigáñez Riesco, Andrea Marino, and Lars-Henrik Friis Molin of Nova for sharing their vision of a global talent network with us and for creating this vibrant community. And of course a big thank you goes to all the NOVAs I had the chance to meet during this event. In particular, I would like to thank my team consisting of Lucas Martin Calderon and Julio Utrera, CFA for our deep conversations about impactful experiences and our resulting value set. I am very much looking forward to seeing you again at future NOVA events!
