PushQuantum

About two months ago I started my Master's programme in "Quantum Science & Technology", which is offered as a cooperative study programme between the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (LMU). In order to take my quantum expertise to a new level, I applied to join the student organisation PushQuantum and I am very happy to announce that I have recently been accepted.

PushQuantum has set itself the goal of creating additional offers for students of quantum physics and enriching their professional development. These offers include specialised courses, excursions to universities or companies, but also the creation of networking spaces between the members themselves. In particular, PushQuantum covers an aspect that is difficult to achieve within universities, namely building a bridge to industry already during the degree programme.

Regardless of the decision between academia and industry, I consider it an extremely valuable opportunity to experience the industrial quantum landscape as part of PushQuantum and I am convinced that this community will enable me to acquire new skills that will support me in my future career.

As a member of the Quantum Entrepreneurship Laboratory Department, I have the opportunity to use my previous experience as a former Federal Board Member of the young German Physical Society (DPG) in the organisation of nationwide and multi-day events as well as my network in industry and business as a member of the Industry and Business Working Group (AIW) of the German Physical Society.

As part of PushQuantum, I am very much looking forward to occupying a superposition between academia and industry, similar to a qubit, and to benefiting from the best of both worlds in a community of like-minded students.
